DESCRIPTION
A typical apartment of the 70's in the area of Nea Smirni was converted into a modern apartment. The purpose of the renovation was to unite the common areas of the apartment. For this reason, the entrance area and the kitchen were unified in one space, after the separating walls had been demolished. For the isolation of the private spaces, a threshold with a new wardrobe was created outside the bedroom. This extra storage space was necessary for a small apartment, while the washing machine was embodied in the new wardrobe.
Light colors prevail in the apartment to widen the dimensions of the small apartment. The kitchen and bathroom were redesigned with modern aesthetic, while the mosaic of the floor has been covered with tiles, which were combined with the wooden floor. The old window frames were replaced with double glazed aluminum window frames. After its renovation, the apartment is functional and customized to the everyday life of the owner.
